Your gums deserve a specialist.
Let's start with a conversation.
Gum grafting. Implant placement. Deep scaling. Three procedures. One goal: saving teeth other dentists have given up on.
Here is exactly what happens,
in order.
Most clinics describe outcomes. We describe the process — because knowing what comes next is the only thing that makes the chair feel less uncertain.
Consultation & Charting
Full periodontal chart. Six readings per tooth.
We measure pocket depth at six points around every tooth. A digital X-ray shows bone levels. We map exactly what's inflamed and what's stable. Nothing is assumed.
You sit. We listen. Then we show you everything.
This appointment is 60 minutes. You'll leave with a printed chart, your X-rays, and a written treatment plan. No pressure to book anything that day.
Duration

Recovery
None
Deep Scaling (SRP)
Scaling and root planing. Below the gumline.
Ultrasonic instruments and hand scalers remove calculus from root surfaces. Laser therapy traces the sulcus to reduce bacterial load. Usually two appointments, one quadrant at a time.
Numb, thorough, and done in two visits.
Local anesthetic means you feel pressure, not pain. Most patients take ibuprofen once afterward. Gums look slightly swollen for 3–5 days, then noticeably healthier.
Duration
90 min × 2
Recovery
3–5 days mild soreness
Re-evaluation & Next Steps
Pockets re-measured. Bone response assessed.
Six weeks after SRP, we re-chart every tooth. Most pockets reduce by 2–3mm. Remaining deep pockets guide the decision between continued maintenance, graft surgery, or implant planning.
Six weeks later, we show you the numbers.
Most patients see measurable improvement. We compare your before and after charts side by side. If surgery is needed, we explain exactly why, with visuals.

The questions you haven't asked yet.
You're wondering if it hurts.
Local anesthetic covers everything below the gumline. You'll feel pressure — not pain.
SRP (deep scaling) is done entirely under local anesthesia. Most patients take a single ibuprofen afterward. If you experience significant discomfort, we want to know — call us directly and we'll address it same day.
You're wondering what it costs.
Most PPO plans cover 50–80% of SRP. We verify your benefits before your first appointment.
A full-mouth SRP (two visits) typically runs $800–$1,400 out of pocket after insurance. We provide a written cost estimate at consultation — before you commit to anything. Payment plans through CareCredit available.
You're wondering how bad it actually is.
We chart it, measure it, and show you on a printout. No vague language, no catastrophizing.
Pocket depths of 1–3mm are healthy. 4mm is a watch zone. 5mm+ is active disease. We'll show you your numbers, compare them to healthy baselines, and explain exactly which teeth are at risk and which are stable.
You're wondering if you waited too long.
Periodontal disease is manageable at every stage. The question is what's possible now, not what was possible then.
We treat patients who haven't seen a dentist in 10 years. We treat patients with Stage IV disease. Late is not the same as too late — and we'd rather evaluate and give you an honest answer than have you assume the worst.

My GP told me I needed four extractions. Dr. Vasquez saved all four. She showed me the before and after charts at every visit — I always knew exactly where I stood.

Stage III periodontitis, referred 2023
I hadn't been to a dentist in eight years. The consultation was the first time I understood what was actually happening in my mouth. No judgment, just information.
